This Saturday December 1st, 2012 Gat Turner and Viva Fidel will be taking their “Killwaukee Xperiment” to Muhammad’s Mosque #3 participating in a Saviours’ Day fundraiser for the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan!! "Ever since we have been nodding our heads to a bumping beat we have been hearing the voice of “the Minister” sampled over rap music. We have heard our Hip Hop heroes and pioneers rhyme about his great works & we were both witnesses and attendees of the Historic Million Man March" says Viva Fidel. "He is one of the few Elders who has actually took on an active role to support, guide and embrace the Hip Hop culture, so we are proud to be a part of this occasion." "As practitioners and students of Hip Hop we have always saw our roles as deeper than just entertainers. We are 'Edutainers' and 'Raptivists' " explains Gat Turner. Not coincidentally these two thoughtful performers have included four tracks on their new collaboration mixtape 'Killwaukee Xperiment' entitled Saviours (Save Yours). "We consider ourselves little “Saviours” working through the culture to do our part in the healing of our community." We are firm believers that we shouldn’t be waiting on someone to do for us, what we can do for ourselves" adds Gat Turner.
