Proud to be able to connect True Skool with Madison Media Institute for an exciting opportunity starting this February!
We are now accepting enrollments for this four week PRO TOOLS course which will be held at True Skool 161 W. Wisconsin Ave, Suite 1000 (LL) Milwaukee, WI 53203. (This four week course is open for people 18 years old and older. Participants must have their own laptops and software.)
The Madison Media Institute Pro Tools Workshop is a four-week course designed to give people an introduction to music production in Pro Tools. The course is designed to accommodate people with no experience in Pro Tools and people with a very advanced knowledge of Pro Tools. Those who have an advanced knowledge of Pro Tools are encouraged to schedule an hour after each session to discuss advanced topics on a weekly basis.
The following topics will be taught each week:
- Feb. 7th Introduction to Pro Tools
- Feb. 14th MID.I Production in Pro Tools
- Feb. 21th Recording in Pro Tools
- Feb. 28th Mixing and Finishing Your Project!

The Instructor for the awesome course is Chris “Godxilla” Taylor. Chris is the Dean of Student Services at Madison Media Institute in Madison, Wisconsin. In addition to the numerous records that he has worked on in Wisconsin and nationally Chris has taught recording at Madison Media Institute since 2009. Chris is an AVID Certified Pro Tools Expert having trained directly at AVID in Daly City, California and has Pro Tools Certifications from Versions 7 – 11. Chris is also the Chairman of The Board of Directors for WYOU community access television in Madison, Wisconsin and Vice-Chair of the Madison Arts Commission. Chris holds and Associate’s Degree in Recording and Music Technology and a Bachelor’s Degree in Entertainment Media Business, both from Madison Media Institute. Chris also holds a Master’s Degree in Entertainment Business from Full Sail University.
